Explore Program DetailsThree Distinct Funding Approaches
Each path offers unique advantages depending on your visa status, business model, and long-term goals in Canada.
Student Entrepreneur Stream
Perfect for current students. We'll show you how Malik transformed his AI tutoring concept into a 0K seed round while completing his computer science degree at UBC. This approach leverages campus resources and student-specific grants.
Cross-Border Investment
For students with international connections. Learn how Chen secured funding from both Canadian VCs and family networks in Singapore for her sustainable packaging startup. Navigate complex regulations while maintaining global investor relationships.
Post-Graduation Launch
Strategic approach for new graduates. Follow Diego's journey from work permit to permanent residency while building his fintech company. Timing fundraising with immigration milestones creates unique opportunities.
Real Experience, Real Results
"I came to Toronto as an international student in 2019. Three years later, I'd raised .3M for my edtech startup. The biggest challenge wasn't the fundraising itself — it was understanding how Canadian investors think differently from what I'd learned in business school back home."
This program exists because generic fundraising advice doesn't address the unique challenges international students face. Work authorization questions, cultural communication styles, and investor expectations all require specialized knowledge.
